ADVOCACY & CRISIS RESPONSE

Specialized Advocacy Certification Program

Comprehensive training designed to prepare professionals to support, advocate for, and empower individuals affected by crime, trauma, and victimization.

Courses are organized by focus area. Some courses may appear across multiple categories based on relevance.

A Victim Advocate is a trained professional who provides support, resources, and guidance to individuals who have experienced crime, trauma, or victimization. Their role is centered on ensuring victims’ rights are upheld, their voices are heard, and they have access to the services needed to navigate legal, emotional, and social challenges following a traumatic event.

Victim advocacy training prepares individuals to provide trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, resource coordination, and ongoing support across a variety of settings. This program emphasizes ethical practice, confidentiality, and effective communication while equipping participants with the practical skills needed to advocate for and empower those they serve.

The Victim Advocate Certification program also introduces specialized pathways, including campus and military advocacy components, allowing professionals to expand their expertise across diverse populations and environments.
